Exodus 32:1 says "Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said...Come make us gods that shall go before us:..."

Sometimes, delay tends to allow enemy to bring so many options outside the will of God. Don't fall for the dart of the devil. Trust God, Wait upon the Lord. He will surely do what he says he will do for you.

Never seek after other gods. Say to yourself. It's this God or nothing else.

"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." - Daniel 3:16-18
