Nigeria Election Vs That Of South Africa And India by Obaranje: 7:22am On Jun 11
1. India is 1.4 billion.
2. Nigeria is 220 million.
3. 642 million Indians voted.
4. Less than 30 million Nigerians voted.
5. India is the world’s LARGEST democracy.
6. India conducted the world’s BIGGEST election.

7. There was no paper ballots; voting was strictly via electronic machines.
8. With a huge population, India delivered a highly successful election.

9. SA’s budget for their just concluded election was R2.3 billion, around $110 million.
10. INEC was given far more, N313.4 billion ($681 million) as at then.

11. Yet, INEC couldn’t conduct a credible election for less than 30 million voters.

12. Poll workers reached India’s most remote corners; including the Himalayas, & far-flung forests deep inside Nagaland.

13. In Nigeria, INEC Polling unit officials were shouting “no transmission” inside city centers like Lagos.

CONCLUSION: INEC wasted $681 million to conducted a highly flawed election for less than 30 million voters.

They switched off the server, & offered no explanation for that till this day.

When we discuss sensitive subjects in public places, we should always talk with sense. People are watching, & they can identify reason & bullshit.

The day we start voting electronically would definitely mark the beginning of our good governance, I know a lot of people that wont bother standing in queue just to vote some rogues, such people will be willing to vote in more creadible candidates without anyone harassing them with guns and cutlasses.
Most Nigeria politicians wont ever subscribe to the idea of electronic voting cos that would end their hard grips on what they believe is their inheritance.

We are not just serious with anything. See what Super eagles played yesterday. The local coach was still smiling and telling the press "the goal is to win but there's no formula for it".. Everything na joke for this country.

They are not fools

90% of political office holders won't be there if votes counted

You expect Tinubu to give you electoral system that he can't manipulate?.

And you expect them to produce credible elections?

No matter an epistle written by anyone, take it or leave it, Nigeria is a cursed nation. There is no difference between Nigeria leaders and King Pharaoh of Egypt.

I was expecting you to do more comparison about SA election and you stopped at budget.
Nigerians love making comparison with other countries alot, that Nigerian making that comparison, put him in a place to make a change and the Nigerian in him will display itself full blown.
The government of those countries are better than the government of Nigeria, the citizens of those countries are also better than the citizens of Nigeria.

You brought up India9whose election costs is one of the costliest in the world) to talk about Nigeria and South Africa, are you Obi's brother? Anyways, election budget is total budget, not budget for BVAS or for server. It is a budget to accomodate or plan for about 97million registered voters, compared to SA's 27million registered voters.
INEC is not in charge of internet or telecoms in Nigeria. You should factor that in before comparing with India and SA that have better internet and telecoms structure.
At the end, all the 3 countries have problems and wide complaints about their elections, including developed countries.
