BONNY KINGDOM OGBOBIRI ASAWO MARKS AMANYANABO'S 59TH BIRTHDAY WITH A VISIT TO BONNY GENERAL HOSPITAL


In a heartwarming gesture, the Bonny Kingdom Ogbobiri Asawo celebrated the 59th birthday of His Majesty the King by visiting the Bonny General Hospital. Members of the organization thronged the hospital to pray for the patients and encourage them toward a speedy recovery, much to the admiration of the management, staff, patients, and their relatives.


The visit by Bonny Kingdom Ogbobiri Asawo perfectly aligned with His Majesty's wish for people to use his birthday as an opportunity to reach out to the sick, indigent, less privileged, and elderly in society.
Led by the Chairman, Mr. Eugene Dennis Jumbo, Bonny Kingdom Ogbobiri Asawo prayed for the patients' quick recovery and handed each of them a cash donation. The heartfelt gesture was in celebration and acknowledgment of God's grace in the life of our beloved King and father, His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, Edward I, Perekule XI, Natural Ruler and Amanyanabo of Bonny Kingdom.


In his speech, the Chairman of Bonny Kingdom Ogbobiri Asawo informed the hospital management and staff that the organization was created by His Majesty the King to help in the general administration of the Kingdom, foster good relationships, and bridge communication gaps.
Mr. Eugene Dennis Jumbo said the visitation was to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty, adding that while people were celebrating outside, Bonny Kingdom Ogbobiri Asawo thought it necessary to reach out to those who, by reason of health challenges, were unable to be part of it.


Hon. Sunju Bluejack, while gifting envelopes to the patients, declared that the gesture would automatically bring healing to them. Bishop Ibibem Bobby Pollyn complemented this declaration with prayers.
Dr. Anthony Daniel, the Medical Director of Bonny General Hospital, expressed his appreciation for the unprecedented gesture. He stated that in his many years of practice, which has taken him to various kingdoms and communities, this was the first time an organization had visited the hospital to pray for patients, encourage them, and give them cash gifts in commemoration of the king's birthday.


Dr. Daniel emphasized that the gesture by Bonny Kingdom Ogbobiri Asawo placed the organization on a very high pedestal as a group of responsible men who mean well for the king and the kingdom. He added that it was a clear indication of how His Majesty the King is loved by his people.


"I have been to many places; I have been to kingdoms and communities. I can tell you that this is the first time I see an organization visit a hospital to pray for the patients and give them cash gifts because their king or traditional ruler is celebrating his birthday. This shows that the king of Bonny Kingdom is well loved by his people. This kind of sacrifice can only be made out of love. This also shows that this organization comprises of very responsible men of Bonny Kingdom," Dr. Daniel said.


On behalf of the management, staff, and patients, Dr. Anthony Daniel wished His Majesty the King a very happy birthday and prayed that the king would celebrate for many more years to come.
