Reforms should not be about removing fuel subsidy and increasing VATs.Reform is putting in place the following that will drive the economy and reduce inflation.
Improve power supply
Grant licences to modular refineries not just Dangote who is a monopolist.Pricebof fuel is one of the driving force of the economy.Anytime fuel price goes up,it affect price of commodities at the market.
Grant tax waiver to new investors.
Reduce multiple taxation.
Job creation.
These are reforms.

So how will dis increase in production come to play.
What are the plans u have seen dat is gearing us towards dat direction ?
DIVINEEVIDENCE:
Without an increase in overall production and productivity, we're only heading to hyper inflation.

This is what Labour refuses to understand.

Pushing more cash into the system while production stagnates or even declines, is simply making the cash valueless.

Do I resemble Tinubu?

Mass job creation is the cardinal duty of the government.

If there were no marauding herdsmen in Benue and incentives are given to farmers for example, food items will be quite affordable.

If the government revamps our moribund refineries, they'll create thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

Increase in productivity means more products and services chasing the same amount of money leading to fall in prices and increase in the currency's value.

Minimum wage is the wage of the average worker.
Workers in higher grade levels will collect far higher salaries than the minimum.

This flooding of the economy with cash without commensurate increase in productivity will simply exacerbate our inflation problems.

Imagine if Labour held this protest to demand for working refineries and stable power supply and the government agreed to their demands.
Imagine what the pump price of petrol will fall to and how much of a boost SMEIs and multinationals will receive.

Wage increase is a cheap and low demand.

From ₦18, 000 to ₦30, 000 and here we are.

What has changed?

Ten years from now they'll demand ₦1million minimum wage.
Then we'll start printing ₦10k notes because ₦1k will become useless.

Something must be wrong with you...the money our law makers and politicians are scooping is not causing inflation right? But that of labour will.

You can make your points without insults.

You cannot compare the expenditure of a few hundred people to that of millions of people.

Remove sentiments from this and compare the workers on civil service payroll to the total number of politicians and you'll see which group makes a heavier impact on the economy.

If the economy is sound and ₦5 has weight, ₦10, 000 minimum wage will comfortably sustain a family and ₦1,000,000 will comfortably build a nice house.

This is the way to go not arbitrarily increasing everyone's salaries.

Its only a matter of time and prices of things in the market will rise to catch up. In the end, we only succeeded in rubbishing our economy.

Labour will continue demanding new minimum wages till they reach ₦1million and a loaf of bread begins to sell at ₦50, 000.

How much is one dollar to the Naira?

If this demand is met, watch what the exchange rate will be by January next year.

U are correct in dis..
But asking me if u resemble tinubu is beyond me to answer cos u might be him in disguise owing to the fact dat nairaland is a faceless forum....
Even labor know that over increments in workers salary is not d way out but something has to be done....
Do not worry, more demands will be made.[ quote author=DIVINEEVIDENCE post=130450241]
