I have just finished reading Chigozie Obioma's Biafra war novel, The Road to the Country and I am in tears. For a guy who broke record as the only writer who has been finalist for the most prestigious award for a fiction book, The Booker prize, this novel is on another level. Obioma was the subject recently of a New York Times profile for the novel, but please everyone go get a copy and read this book NOW. We are seeing a talent that is generational here, but this book is a national treasure.
