Hello everyone,

I just got a dog and I need all the help and moral support I can get.

I love dogs, I’ve just never owned or lived with one indoors. It’s a male Lhasa apso. My kids (11 and almost 8 ) BEGGED me for months and I eventually gave in.

I saw some videos on potty training and I got a bit scared, I hope I have not bitten more than I can chew bayi Lol.

Please give me tips on caring for it and training it. What to feed it, how often etc.

P.S The dog is on its way here as I type, I’m surprising my children.

I think it’s pure Lhasa, I’m honestly not sure. We named it Juno.

It ate at 6pm. Should it still eat again this night? And I was not sure if the quantity of food to give it too. I gave it canned food.

My puppy has been throwing up for three days. A vet has come twice but it is still throwing up. He dewormed it, gave it Metoclopramide and Amoxyl injections but it is still vomiting.

I’m feeling so bad, it is not even eating well. He came back again today to give it some drip to at least hydrate it.

Also watch what he eats. If not the regular dog food then be mindful of what you’re feeding him. Research about foods that are toxic for dogs.

Update

It died. Turns out it was a bacterial infection, it didn’t survive it. We had it for less than two weeks but we loved it already. I spent a lot of money at the vet but it didn’t make it. The children cried a lot, I cried a little too… We miss it, we still have all the things I got for it; bed, food, toys and collar.

I messaged the guy that sold it, he offered to give us another at half the price but I don’t want one anymore ( at least for now).
