The university was formerly called Kano State University of Science and Technology, Wudil (KUST Wudil) until the year 2022.

It was established in year 2001 and is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

The university was renamed to Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil in the year 2022 by the then Governor of Kano state Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The current Chancellor of the Aliko Dangote University is Dr. Aliko Mohammad Dangote, the founder, chairman, and CEO of the Dangote Group, the largest industrial conglomerate in West Africa.

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to 20 programmes of the University, with another 4 programmes on interim accreditation.

the University was just renamed in 2022 so the internet is still full of the school's old logos and branding.

However, it is very easy for you to actually confirm if the information is fake - just spend 3 minutes on Google.
