Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor, Sen. Akon Eyakenyi PhD, on Friday June 14th, 2024, declared open the 2024 Retreat of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) in Uyo.

The Deputy Governor, Sen. Akon Eyakenyi, was represented at the event by the Honourable Commissioner for Economic Development, Mr. Emem Bob.

In her remarks at the event, Sen. Eyakenyi expressed her delight at the NCRIB's decision to host the 2024 Retreat in Akwa Ibom, saying it was an honor to the state.

The Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of insurance in ensuring the survival and growth of businesses, highlighting its crucial role in protecting the wealth and economic development of the nation.

President/Chairman Governing Board of NCRIB, Prince Babatunde A. OgunTade, FIIN, FCIB, expressed his appreciation to the Akwa Ibom State Government’s commitment to socioeconomic development and human capital development.

He further pledged the support of the insurance industry in achieving the state’s ARISE AGENDA, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in driving economic growth and development.

Distinguished attendees at the event were the Representative of the Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. Ekerette Ola Gam-Ikon, the President/Chairman Governing Board of NCRIB, Prince Babatunde A.
