Could you explain the need for prescribing too many drugs even before the laboratory results are out.

Going to a private hospital, I was given so many drugs. Is it healthy or was it a way to sell their drugs?

The funny thing was that the drugs weren't working. Please such matters could be discussed in your medical conferences.

Too many drugs is not good for the kidneys.

Typically,a Dr is trained to make a diagnosis with history(your complaints and answers you give to his questions) and then physical(sometimes mental) examinations.
Investigations (lab,scan,endoscopy) etc are just to confirm that diagnosis,check extent of the disease etc
Considering this,if a patient is ill and in pain or discomfort,will you still wait for investigation results which some might take a few days to be ready before you start treating the patient?
If the patient isn't responding to treatment,it could be a whole different thing
