There is a cripple at Anthony overhead pedestrian bridge that sweeps the entire bridge, morning to evening, same as iyano oworo/olopa meji bridge

These are the type of people I am usually moved to assist in the littlest way I can when ever I use these bridges

I sincerely hope this guy is given a support that will aid him, and that Fulani herdsmen don cripple him more by destroying his farmland

The dignity of labour, the power of diligence and the ever resilient spirit of a hardworking humanity. Perhaps he may be educated, however education without productivity is a total waste of time.

This is why there are many unemployed graduates on the street waiting for the government to spoon-feed them with job, because they lack the skills they ought to have acquired when they were very young. Everything is not school. There are many abilities in any disability. Put your shoulders to the wheel. Don't be lazy.

Disability is not inability.

These are people with special needs...in a sane country they're not exposed to this kind of suffering.

There's a different between suffering and "disability is not ability".

Try get sense

Exactly, not the ones that have turned begging into an occupation. Like the one that was given money and a house and empowered to start a business but she still went outside with her kids to continue begging

I would say dignity in labor.

But in this era of camera phones, social media and clout chasing, I hardly believe anything that I see in pixels.

But still... I admire his willingness to fend for himself, rather than constitute nuisance as a beggar.

Far back as 2014, there's this very young girl that usually sit on one pedestrian bridge I used on my way to work.

She had a very small child then (Less than a year). Whenever I pass through through that route, I'll squeeze some money and place it into her hands.

I left the area about three years later...

Early this year, I visited the neighbourhood, and passed through the bridge again... Omoh. The lady was on that same spot. Her boy all grown!..

She smiled at me, expecting me to drop something as usual, but damn. I wasn't impressed.

A group of wisemen used to say "If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. If you can't crawl, just keep moving".

There's never an excuse for being in the same spot for such a long time... Well. I heard some beggars in Abuja are landlords, and some own cars able bodied men drive for them as taxis... Never believed the story though... But still... Leave that bridge!

This ebony state people are blessed with overwhelming ability to farm. I remember working alongside two women in a man's farm as a labourer. These two women left me for dead. Na two hours later I finish my portion. Omo, I fear them that day cheesy
