Now that we have at least one working refinery in Nigeria, i think it's time to bring back fuel subsidy and crash the price to N100 per litre. Smuggling will reduce or stop because buying from Dangote would be different from hiding under IPMAN and be shipping (smuggling) FG paid fuel to other countries.
So you think there is no subsidy now?

Subsidy now is over 500 per litre

Without subsidy petrol would cost 1250 minimum realistically 1550

In 2015, it was 1$ to N250 so N40,000 was $160. Today, $160 is N240,000. So 40k in 2015 is 240k now. Contextually, 1 bag of cement in 2015 cost N2,000 so N40,000 would buy you 20 bags of cement in 2015. Today, a bag of cement is N12,000 and to buy the same 20 bags, you will need N240,000.
Thank you
Dollar was 200 at worse official rate was about 160

Those who supported Buhari and still supporting Tinubu are the reason the country is not moving forward
They are zombies not human so they can't feel what normal humans feels therefore they can't respond accordingly except according to their program instructions
It's you who takes them serious that should rethink it,it does nobody any good to factor them in to his thinking, you can't come out with accurate assessment, comparing a machine to human, like a robot to a human

I did a lot of dollar transactions in 2015 so I can vividly remember the average rate throughout a greater part of the year was N250. How many people had or have access to dollar at official rate?

He should lead by example. Does he have a domiciliary account? What is he giving back to his constituents? We should start asking our senators questions for everyone of them to seat up.

For now, let's continue to Ronu!

That's a subtle lie in a sense. N40k then was buying subsidized stuffs. Things that cost N170k was being subsidized and that's why you could buy it N40k. Today, it is different as subsidies have been removed.

No, we should be looking at alternatives. Let's focus on building power infrastructure, improving electricity supply and making EVs. Many countries have formulated auto policies to phase out combustion engine cars. Nigeria can do the same.

Better still, motorists should use CNG cylinders in place petrol engines. We cannot continuously build our economy on petrol subsidy. It's not sustainable.
