Did you planted your ugwu where sun doesn't get there? Will it still grow. What Will Happen If You Plant Your Ugwu Seeds Where No Sunlight Or Shade? The fact remains that, vegetables needs sunlight. All crops needs the vitamin D which is the sun to grow and flourish. It will grow, but it won't flourish. Crops needs sunlight, the same way they need rain. My own side, sun hits them from morning till evening and very hot sun, so i just water them everyday. Your Ugwu will grow, but the leaves will not green well. The leaves will turn yellow not green.
