New Gaza War news presented in this episode of Samri Channel.
Israeli occupation army spokesman Daniel Hagari said that talk about destroying the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is ashes of dust, and as long as the government does not find an alternative to Hamas, the movement will remain, before the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office hastened to respond to that. Hagari added - in an interview with the Israeli Channel 13 - that "the belief that it is possible to destroy the Hamas movement and hide it is ashes of dust in the eyes of the Israelis."

He pointed out that Hamas is an idea and a party, and that it is implanted in the hearts of people, and whoever believes that we can hide it is mistaken, and he continued, saying, "It is an idea that cannot be eliminated, as the Muslim Brotherhood exists in the region." He went on to explain, "We are paying a heavy price in the war, but we cannot remain silent and do everything we can," pointing out the difficulty of reaching the leader of Hamas in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, but he said that "Shin Bet and Military Intelligence will find the way and kill him, and this is our goal." .

He pointed out that the army is working around the clock to return the "kidnapped" (captives) in Gaza alive despite the risks, and stressed that it is not possible to return all detainees by military means. Regarding the Israeli operation in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, Hagari pointed out that the Rafah Brigade, affiliated with the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of Hamas - was part of the October 7 attack, and that it served as oxygen for the movement.

He added, "We are close to eliminating it, and we will explain to the political level, and then the public, the military achievements that have been achieved." On October 7, the Al-Qassam Brigades launched a major attack on settlements, bases, and barracks around the Gaza Strip, and captured at least 240, and more than 100 of them were released in a temporary humanitarian truce late last November.

Regarding the development of events on the northern front with Lebanon, the occupation army spokesman confirmed readiness for any scenario, indicating that any confrontation with Lebanon will end with an agreement. He added that the Israeli army, with all its leadership, is obligated to return the population in the north, pointing out that Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah is the address in Lebanon, and "we are attacking to remove the threat, and we know where Hezbollah is, what its capabilities are, and what is on the border."

Regarding the Hezbollah drone that photographed strategic areas in Haifa, northern Israel, Hagari said that it was very small, but the army’s responsibility and goal was not to threaten people, because shooting it down would cause damage. In turn, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quick to respond to Hagari’s statements, and said - in a statement - that “the security cabinet has identified the destruction of Hamas’ military and governmental capabilities as one of the goals of the war, and the IDF is committed to that.”

For her part, Al Jazeera correspondent Najwan Samri said that Hagari's tone was very sharp against the political leadership, noting that his statements about Hamas top all Israeli news sites. The Israeli army quickly issued a clarification, saying that its spokesman, Daniel Hagari, was talking about “the destruction of Hamas as an idea and an ideology. His statements are very clear, and any claim otherwise is taking his statements out of context.”

He added, "The army is committed to achieving the war goals set by the cabinet, and has been working on that day and night since the beginning of the war." On the other hand, Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karei said that Hagari's statements are nothing but an indication of "the lax and weak leadership spirit of Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy and Defense Minister Yoav Galant." He continued, saying, "If Gallant and Halevy are unable to win, let them go and not be the reason for our loss."

He added that the army spokesman should focus on strengthening and supporting the fighters. Earlier, the newspaper "Israel Today" said that the data presented to members of the Knesset (the Israeli parliament) indicated that the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip did not collapse, but rather that it was able to maintain its strength.

Yahya sinwar or whatever he's called is a dead man walking, so he'll not agree to any cease fire deal that will result to his own death. Israel needs to plan a decoy to draw him out of his hiding.
