Just look at revolutions happening in Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen, and even Kuwait recently. It is just a pity that Nigerians cannot copy the game. We prefer to fight out dirty tribal and religious politics while the wolves at the top have a field day.

They are busy keeping us preoccupied with boko haram, mend, armed robbery and political thuggery while they enjoy their loots in peace. If none of these problems exist they know that one day people will unite and fight them.

Most of those countries doing revolution are far better than Nigeria in terms of standard of living but the people are not satisfied with the corruption in high places going on. They want freedom from corruption, dictatorship, censorship, oppression and slavery.

But just look at how igbo and yoruba 'warriors' on nairaland abuse each others fathers and forefathers in the morning. Then in the afternoon they combine to take out their anger and frustrations on hausa/fulani. which way Nigeria?

Re: It Is A Pity Nigerians Cannot Fight A Revolution by efepro(m): 8:24am On Nov 29, 2011
I agree with u @kobo, Even The FG knows that if they dnt act fast, they risk a revolution.
front page 2day(29-11-11) says: "Revolution looms","Create Jobs or risk revolution", Is creating jobs alone enuf to prevent revolution.what's happen to bad roads, education, electricity, transportatn etc?
Nigerians should stop praying and confront their problems logically through revolution.
Revolution captures the whole essence of social change.war is a necessary condition for peace, Ojukwu may nt hav won d war,but he made an impact that wil forever be rememberd his people and Nigerians.

If u ask me,i'l tell u i'm ready.

because they are cowards and not wise enough to defend their right but they are smart in worshiping their white colonial masters as their little gods. Nigeria is a lost land, sad but its true.

I agree 100% - Fela Said it all - The spirit of materialism has consumed the entire souls of Nigerians hence the reason nobody wants to die. What is really baffling, is the poor man who has nothing and him/her also does not want to die. grin - Abeg lets us wait for Jesus grin

@POST

Patriotism strong enough to engender socio-politico-economic revolution in present day Nigeria died in 1966. There shall never be a revolution of any sort in Nigeria without total disintegration of the cesspit called Nigeria period.

Kobo

Pls come home and lead d revolution.

He gave you examples of countries where people started revolutions. Do tell us, in those countries HOW MANY people living abroad, had to go back to their home countries, for the revolution to start?

1) How many of  Tunisians living abroad moved back to Tunisia, for to get the Tunisians to decide they had had enough?

2) How many of Egyptians living abroad moved back to Egypt, for to get the Egyptians to decide they had had enough?

3) How many of Libyans living abroad moved back to Libya , for to get the Libyans to decide they had had enough?

4) How many of Syrians living abroad moved back to Syria, for to get the Syrians to decide they had had enough?

5) How many of Yemens living abroad moved back to Yemen, for to get the Yemenites to decide they had had enough?

6) How many of Morrocans living abroad moved back to Morroco, for to get the Morrocans to decide they had had enough?

7) How many of Bahranians living abroad moved back to Bahrain, for to get the Bahranians to decide they had had enough?

cool How many of Saudis living abroad moved back to Saudi Arabia, for to get the Saudi Arabians to decide they had had enough?

How many people will it take to get Nigerians whose daily lives are lived as that of slaves in their own home lands to decide they have enough of the miserable existence they have been subjected to, generation after generation, and it is now time to take back that which is their own inheritance?

As for you, I hope you get yourself some education. That you dare to compare what happened this year in places like Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Tunisia, Syria, Bahrain, Morrocco, Saudi Arabia , to the actions of coup plotters and the Biafran WAR, leads me to believe you are yet another UNINFORMED YOUTH who is quick to speak but slow to do his research. Who in his right mind does that??

Our revolution is in the making for those that can recognise it. The facts that it is being discussed in the open by the small and mighty. The fact that a siting President (though a fool), have come out in the open to admit that the risk Revolution are strong pointers to this.

Just wait and see; Just mark my words.

Myself: Ready and waiting for just a million Nigerians to storm Aso Rock and make Nigeria Ungovernable until the thieves resign en-mass.

Atleast Easterners have fought something worse than a revolution. We're waiting for others to give it a try. Una dey find who una go put for trouble.

I am Igbo. I will go for a Revolution. I will support any Igbo man that will lead it.

What I will never support is another war of Secession. Let another Tribe stand up and fight if they think they can seceed; but for Revolution, we must all restore our land together. Whoever wants to be a coward, let him be.

Ours will never be a war. Our will be total civil disobidience. The way it was done in Egypt, Tunisia and the likes. The way Ghandi, Mandela, Martin Luther King and even Christ taught us.

Easterners will wait for others to revolt, get their acts together, before they stand up and say NO MORE to the decay that continues to plague the region, as a result of corrupt leaders and politicians in the region Easterners will wait until those in Jigawa or Ogun get their acts together before they stand up and say  NO MORE to the politics of  IT IS EVERYBODY ELSES FAULT that continues to allow decay year, after year, in their homeland?

TUFIAKWA!!!!

Its the truth, why should someone else be a martyr for your ideas. If you want a revolution start it from your doorstep and help it grow into a movement. Nothing worse than an armchair quarterback.

An Igbo man cannot lead a revolution any more. It will be deciphered as an act of war. Do you think if Boko haram was an Igbo group, the government wouldn't have invaded the east? Because it's the north, some people are even saying they're freedom fighters. I bet you the day Massob decides to tow the path of Mend and Bokoharam, that's the day another war will kick start.
