As at this morning, Gari is not 1500....

Garri is 1600. If it were affordable, there won't even be much complaints but things are extremely hard.
It appears cost of Garri could b used as the determining factor of a good government

The countries you are referring to do you have their level of industrialisation and research in to mechanised farming? Majority of our youths ride keke, do POS, with women have small rickety provision stalls. Things that contributes nothing to the economy or feeding the population
Again, I ask you to show me any serious country that's developed by embracing subsistence farming.
Graduates ride keke and do POS. Those graduates should be employed carrying out the industrialisation and research you mentioned.
But I'm surprised someone is saying keke and POS contribute nothing to the economy nor feed the population. You're narrow-minded sir

India and China were largely/farmers in the in the 60's as these countries began to industrialise there was some shift from been just subsistence farmers to industries. Thus, while the farmers proportion reduced but industries increased. Even at that, these countries still have around 50% of its population involved in farming today, despite their industrial power, you can fact check me on this. You guys are funny, you expect Tinubu to do the farming for you.

I am a farmer fyi. I produce egg, chicken, fish, pepper, garri, pineapple, banana ugu, banga, plantain, etc. I produce in commercial quantities. Over 90% of my consumption is from my farm.. The 10% I buy from market is for things like salt, maggi, other spice, and occasionally indomie for the kids.

You are funny ! I tell you what I produce, and you are asking me to show you as if whatever I show you will convince with your narrow mindset. You think every farmer is an illiterate and a primitive man. Do you even know the person talking to you. I bet if you know, you won't be spewing this rubbish.

Of course I'll fact check you!
India has 43% of its population involved in farming. China has 24% of its population. So your claim of around 50% IS BLATANTLY FALSE.
More importantly, in terms of yield and output, India is one of the most agriculturally viable countries in the world and occupies top three position which makes the 43% somewhat justified. But even you admitted that the number of people employed in agriculture has dropped drastically in both countries while more people have moved to manufacturing and services sector over the years. It is same you that is now asking more Nigerians to go into farming!! Are you asking us to progress or retrogress?
Eerm..... Tinubu should do the farming for me. That is his job and that is why the govt he heads has a whole Ministry dedicated to agriculture which gulps billions of taxpayers and citizens commonwealth every year!

But you know you do not need to tell lies to validate yourself on the net. Which one is farmer producing garri? Farmers farm cassava which is processed into garri. Farmers don't produce garri. Same with Banga. Banga is simple palm kernel. It is obtained from palm trees not produced.

But besides that, do you imply that 90% of your needs is met on your farm? What about the basic water? Do you also produce it in this your audio farm? Milk nko? Meat nko? Or you eat only chicken and fish? What about vegetables? I can just imagine you sitting in your farm that produces egg, chicken, fish, pepper, garri, pineapple, banana, ugwu, banga plantaine etc in commercial quantities..... only that it happens in your dream grin grin

Beans 3000 naira a mudu.

Since Nigerians are quiet, let's hear what the Nairaland zombies have to say about it.
Well, Nigerians have perfected the habit of bursting a space through the wall when pushed toward it, than bouncing back to fight their oppressors. We are too timid and divided to see beyond our nose in fighting for a better country.

We are very tolerant toward our oppressors, hail them when they come around us and fight amongst ourselves to defend them. Well, I think Abdu Karim was right Nigerians are HAPPY SLAVES.

As docile and timid as we appear in fighting against our oppressor, so are we swift to anger and ready to ] turn the country upside down when it touches the arear of religion , which we hold so dearly to our heart. MADNESS isn't it!. That is Nigeria for you!!

Generally, I think Nigerians are very complicated human beings.

JUST LET THEM BE THE HAPPY SLAVE THAT THEY HAVE CHOOSEN TO BE.

Beans is #3500 per module. I now know some people are seriously senseless. How many people will have to farm and in what quantity. After your education, training in other fields, you now abandon it to start looking for land to farm. Can everbody farm. What about the handicapped. Does it mean that they would die hungry. People living in cities too will abandon their jobs to start farming. Now l believe people supporting APC are brain dead.
