Even Benin?

At times like this I miss Abacha and other military regimes. None of these countries ever messed with Nigerians during Nigerian military govts, because they knew there would be instant response.

If this was Abacha, just one phone call to that stupid Benin leader ordering him to release that Nigerian man or risk military invasion, would have ended the crisis.

Any Nigerians are, we tend to be lousy and show ourselves, which is stupidity. Just imagine what Benin are doing to us, can we recognise or identity Benin citizens among us in Nigeria? No! Because they lay low and don't want to drag anything with us here.

Since about 3/4 years ago now, if you want to secure apartment in Benin, they’ll check your passport. Once they see anambra, Enugu, etc, they won’t rent you the house. You can confirm this!

Zangbeto? Fon/Eguns.

Ketou? Yorubas.

Even with the ties some of us share with folks from that end, we've managed to avoid coming in contact with some of them because the black man is his own problem, now throw the word 'Nigerian' into the mix and coupled with those soiling and spoiling our already battered reputation in the eyes of the outside world you'd discovered that the average Beninoise is justified.

Maybe, this is a wake up call for some of us still stuck up here dancing on the political chess board(many are even pawns, they get moved and cherry picked at ease by the good for nothing politicians) to get serious with getting it right.

Nigeria is exhausting.
Exactly. Support the division of the evil contraption so we all can be patriotic to our new countries.
Death to the evil contraption. It has been our prayer for many days.

If you are well informed, you will know that riverine areas in Ogun State (locally known as waterside) are predominantly occupied by farmers, most of whom are non-indigenes settlers. Are they Nigerians? Yes, but they are mostly non-Yorubas. I am ashamed of myself for trying to respond to a tribal urchin like you, as you probably will not understand what I have written here, I wish you a lovely weekend though...

It is not about support for bad leaders. The citizens of countries with good leaders and economies are also scattered worldwide. What pursues Nigerians is the type of business we choose to do abroad. Nigerians are into the fast money and crimes.

You understand the issues truly. Anyone who has seen first hand what our young boys and girls are doing in benin will understand why they are resisting us. Im not saying this is the main reason but im just sharing one of the issues i know and have seen first hand. The point is the fear of efccc has driven a lot of boys into benin, they have taken over the Universites and also the night life in benin. Young babes too have turned to hookup big time. You wont understand until you see these things Live. The average benin citizen is calm and not as outgoing as the average nigerian. But the bad eggs amongst us have turned to the role models for some of their youths. Their girls are dating these yahoo boys who are showing them what life can be when you have resources. Drug addictions, excessively partying and drinking etc , Im sure it scares them.

Ayobamidele Kehinde, the International Director of Dynamic Ambassadors for Social Transformation and Orientation Initiatives, has made shocking revelations of the xenophobic attacks Nigerians are currently facing in Benin Republic.

According to him, many Nigerians are languishing in Benin's detention for years without trial.

He claimed that Benin citizens are asking Nigerians to go back to their country.

When a country isn't doing well, its citizens aren't respected outside. Very simple.

At this point, we need to get together to work for the common good of all the citizens. Alas! The youths are not united, because of corruption, tribalism, nepotism, selfishness, frivolous government. The government are pushing people to the wall and the people can't seem to do anything.
