I don't know what they be feeding the Scandinavian singers, they always have a quality to their voice. Sigrid (Norway), Tove Lo (Sweden), Ina Wroldsen (Norway), Robyn (Sweden) and Zara Larsson (Sweden). I've heard all but Larsson sing live (as in tv) and damn they kill it.

For some odd reason, Zara's Ruin My Life is an earworm for me, even though it's proper manufactured pop, but I guess it's the whole concept, basically wanting an ex that isn't good for you. Symphony is a good one (Clean Bandit ft. Zara Larsson). Also Lush Life.

As for Robyn, the queen of sad music with a thumping beat, With Every Heartbeat, Call Your Girlfriend, Indestructible, Dancing on My Own, Be Mine... the live/acoustic versions of those songs are on fire, especially Be Mine, there's this piano version (can't remember exactly the version, since all my music is in a dead HDD) that is particularly gut wrenching.
