The patriarch of Amokeodo family in Ilesa, Osun State, Oluyemi Amokeodo, has passed on at the age of 86.

Described by the family as a community leader and successful businessman, Amokeodo was said to have died in Lagos on Monday, June 24, 2024, after a brief illness.

The family announced the passing of the deceased on Wednesday in a statement jointly signed by Ore Amokeodo and Tony Amokeodo.

The statement added that the burial date and the funeral rites would be communicated in due course.

Amokeodo is survived by children, including Mr and Mrs Tony Amokeodo, Mr and Mrs Victor Amokeodo, Pastor Tayo and Pastor Mrs Lolade Ogunbenro, Mr and Mrs Gbenga Amokeodo, Funmi Amokeodo, sons-in-law, daughters-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, uncles, cousins, and relatives.
