There are several other ways of contracting HIV other than sexual intercourse...

Breastfeeding
Mother to child during pregnancy
Sharing of needles or any sharp objects with infected person
Unscreened blood transfusion and the likes

The virus die very fast outside of the host, so the changes of getting it from sharing objects or clipper is very very low. Sex is the ultimate channel of getting HIV, in which anal sex takes huge percentage of the chances.

It's articles like these that made me become a regular at a lab in my area...even though I had been celibate for a long time during that period. Most of these symptoms are similar to other illnesses, and can give a person having them high blood pressure, thinking they actually have HIV grin

If you feel you have been sexually reckless, and you feel you might have something...just go to a government hospital for test, so that you can free your mind...worrying can make you develop health issues. Just run a test, wait for a month, and run another to be sure. And then go about your life careful.
