Kissing and hugging is a natural way humans express love and appreciation towards each other, not necessarily for 'sex' as some may think (especially a peck on the cheek). Even some animals in the animal world do same. It is needed for social interaction and expression of satisfaction or validation of confidence in others.

Politically, socially, and in all aspects of life, this act of expression of gratitude has often been used without any reservations. So, what's the bitterness with these Christians who are holier than Jesus?

It's not against God's word the only thing we should avoid is being together in a dark place or where nobody can see us because it could lead to something else but kissing and hugging is never a crime among believers in Bible times!

Until one is married... it's not a good idea to engage in any physical intimacy like "hugging & kissing", because that leads often to fornication... cosmic sin with carries consequences, but for GOD's mercy!
