GOV OTTI PERFORMS GROUNDBREAKING OF THE ABIA STATE RENEWED HOPE ESTATE *Lauds President Bola Tinubu's Federal Housing Scheme Agenda Abia, God's Own State is set to key into the first phase of President Bola Tinubu's larger vision of providing 12 housing estates and 3 cities across the country which will catalyze economic growth and provide direct and indirect jobs. Performing the groundbreaking of the Abia State Renewed Hope Estate in Umuoche Bende in Bende Local Government Area, the people's Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, expressed delight in Mr. President's gesture in constructing 250 housing units which will help create job opportunities, promote commercial activities in the area as well as ease accommodation challenges faced by Abia residents. Governor Otti who was represented by his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Lekwachi Emetu, FNSE, commended the Federal Government for embarking on the project and assured of the state government's support in providing adequate security to the contractors for a seamless execution of the project. "We thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this laudable project. This project will create jobs for Abians and keep our youths busy. We are trying our best to advance the ease of doing business in the state. We assure you as a government that everybody working in this very project, that the security you need in making sure that this project is delivered and our people take possession of this will be guaranteed", Otti said. Delivering his address, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, thanked Governor Otti for his swift approval in providing land for the project, thus, reducing the cost of the housing units for potential homeowners. He charged the developers to be committed to delivering quality work as specified within three months to enable Abians to purchase and take possession of the facility. The Minister stated that "different options were created to enable everyone who has a source of income and livelihood to own these homes when they are completed. These include single-digit mortgage loans that beneficiaries can repay over 30 years and rent-to-own schemes provided by the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, and outright purchase options for those who can afford to pay upfront" the Minister said. In his address, the Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Abdullahi Gwarzo, represented by the Director of Engineering Services, Engr. Samuel Nwaifuru stated that the essence of the Renewed Hope Estate across the country was to unlock the power of the housing sector, thereby providing jobs, enhancing economic activities, and helping achieve a one trillion dollar economy under the flagship of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The estate is to be well serviced by a good network of roads, a reticulated water system, and electricity. It is designed with the comfort and safety of the inhabitants in mind while being in harmony with the environment. Even Ottis has keyed in to Tinubu's vision. He is now getting wiser. He has seen that Obi has no leadership qualities to emulate hence adopting Tinubu's vision. Meanwhile, their hungry supporters are still calling druggie. Druggie dat don take over in Abia too oo. ![]() 2 Likes |

FG should not be in the business of building housing estates in states. This should be mostly the jobs of states and LGs |

yarimo:Epitome of ignorance! The project is a federal government project. What Abia state government did is to provide land. You are predicting the project won't be completed because of your hate against Otti. But you just shot yourself in the balls, cos it is Tinubu's project. You ignorantly predicted that Tinubu won't do anything about the project after the pictures. Always opening mouth waaaa everytime. 1 Like |
