This is one of the myths that was passed on to us that exhaust leaks increase fuel consumption.

Is that true?

The answer is yes and the answer is no.

Are you confused? Please don't!!

If the exhaust leak is before the exhaust catalytic then the answer is yes.

But if the exhaust leak is after the exhaust catalytic then the answer is no.
