This is one of the challenges of our country. It makes one scared to retire. Why do former civil servants get the runaround when it comes to pensions? Na wa. Many people who retired in developed nations and relocated receive their pensions timely. They use the money to acquire properties here and run businesses. Naija, which way?

Nigerian masses deserve their misery. They are a spineless people characterized with endemic corruption . Instead of demanding probity and accountability from their rulers, they hail and sing the praises of those who have become stupendously rich through looting the treasuries of government. Rather than serve justice to inept leaders, they hope endlessly that one day it would be their own turn too to loot to riches. They even hold prayer vigils for their turn to come even as they celebrate thanksgiving services with their priest for those that successfully looted to riches through the lucrative industry of governance.
Where there is no justice , there is no incentive for doing right. Nigerians have proudly and gladly adopted the culture of lootocracy. Those in and out of government are big time rogues. Show me a Nigerian and I will immediately show you a robber. Until Nigerians purge their polluted conscience the circles of poverty and insecurity will continue ad infinitum
