Your golden years have not been wasted. Going back to school for a better future is NEVER late even if you are 44.

On courses:

If you were a science student in SS, go for a course like Medicine and Surgery, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Computer Science or Mathematics. Avoid courses like Biochemistry, Microbiology and all these questionable engineering courses in Nigerian universities.

If you were an Art student in SS, study Law. If there's option for specialisation, go for Property Law. Whatever you do, AVOID courses like Mass communication, Theatre Arts, Sociology, Psychology, etc.

If you were a Commercial student in SS, go for Accounting. Avoid courses like Marketing, Insurance, IRPM, etc.

You will notice that most of the courses I recommend are highly COMPETITIVE and not so easy to navigate. That's because it's completely POINTLESS to go to university, especially when you'll be sponsoring yourself, for a useless course without a DEFINITE path into the workforce.

Good luck.

Remember that it's NEVER too late to do something that'll IMPROVE your life.

Go for accounting and START writing ICAN exams (ATS) in the second semester of your first year. Don't dawdle on this.

Research ICAN-accredited universities and apply there. Also be on the lookout for bursary and scholarships.

Also, doing it part-time would NOT be ideal. You want to save time as much as possible. You can still hustle while studying FULL-TIME. But it wouldn't be easy.

That's where the scholarships and bursary would come in handy. If they cover your tuition and some other expenses, you'll not need to hustle TOO hard to make up.the shortfall.

ANOTHER reason full-time is the best is that it'd give you the option to mingle with a LOT more students. That provides you with business opportunities like assignment writing, printing and photocopying, tutorials, etc.

That'll be difficult to do as a part-time student.

Remove your digits.

I will NOT be calling you or reaching out on WhatsApp.

Ask your questions here and I'll answer. Other people will also chip in with better ideas.

Good luck.
