TEXT:"This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;"- Genesis 5:1

God created man in his own image and likeness. He created them male and female, and he called their name Adam. In Genesis 2:7, God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breath into his nostrils the breath o life; and man became a living soul. There are two accounts about the creation of man. The first account, man was created male and female, Genesis 1:27. And the second account, man was formed as a single person, and later became a living soul after God gave him the breath of life, Genesis 2:7. These two accounts depict man as a spiritual man and also a natural man. The spiritual man was created in Genesis 1:27. While the natural man(Adam) was formed in Genesis 2:7.

In biblical interpretation, there is a class or a group of people that share information among themselves. This class, or group, of persons, is called type. A type is a group of people or things that share particular qualities or features. Adam is a type of Jesus Christ. Isaac, the son of Abraham, is also a type of Jesus Christ. In like manner, Jesus Christ is a type of Adam and Isaac. This means that, any information, in the bible, about Adam, Isaac, and Jesus can be shared among them. Information about Adam can be applied to Isaac and vice-versa. Information about Jesus can be applied to both Isaac and Adam and vice-versa.

A "body" was prepared for the Son of God, Hebrews 10:5. The "body" was called Jesus, Matthew 1:18-21. Also, a body was prepared/formed for the created man. The body was called Adam, Genesis 2:7. Jesus Christ began his work of ministry at the age of thirty, Luke 3:23. God puts Adam in the garden to dress and to keep it. Adam was thirty years old when he began work in the garden, Genesis 2:15. Subsequently, Isaac, the son of Abraham, got married at the age of forty, Genesis 25:20. Adam was forty years old, when God introduced Eve his wife to him, Genesis 2:21-25.

Therefore, in summary, the life and time of Adam goes thus: Adam was formed as a baby. God nursed him until he was thirty years old. At the age thirty, God puts him in the garden Eden to dress and to keep it. Adam worked for ten years before he got married at the age of forty. Every couple expects the birth of children after nine months of their marriage. Eve, Adam's wife, was expecting her first born child during this period. Unfortunately, this didn't happen because of their disobedience, Genesis 3:6. As a result, God drove them out of the garden, Genesis 3:24. However, the seed of the woman remained in her, Genesis 3:15. At the fullness of time, the woman delivered her first born child, Galatians 4:4; Revelation 12:1-6.

Meanwhile, there is a kind of birth called the Godkind of birth. It is a birth when babies are born in pair(s), that is, a boy and a girl. This happens once and in every thirty years. And when the babies are grown, they will marry each other and continue to reproduce. This Godkind of birth is experienced by those who have the image and likeness of God. This birth happened during the time of Adam, Cain and Abel. But, it stopped when Seth was born. The birth of Seth ushered in the Mankind of birth because Seth was born in the image and likeness of man, Genesis 5:3. And not in the image and likeness of God, Genesis 1:26-27.

In Genesis 6:3, the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. This statement, first and specifically, referred to Adam. It means that Adam will have the image and likeness of God(the nature of God) for a hundred and twenty years. And after he exceeds the hundred and twenty years, the nature of God, he had will be replaced with the image and likeness of man(the nature of man), meaning he will lose the nature of God.

Subsequently, Adam gave birth to Seth at the age of one hundred and thirty years after he had lost the nature of God. The reason Seth was born in the image and likeness of man. However, the Godkind of birth shall be reintroduced again during the time of the new heaven and the new earth. When God shall make all things new, Revelation 20:5. And man shall begin to live as in the days of Adam. Moreover, Adam and Eve also gave birth to sons and daughters. And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died, Genesis 5:5. Seth, however, continued with the Mankind of birth till this day.

Although, Adam specifically created by God, became the first law breaker when he ate from the restricted tree. He brought sin and death to all who came after him. However, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ offer God's free gift of grace to all who believe. For as one man's(Adam's) disobedience, many were made sinners. But, by the obedience of one man(Jesus Christ), many shall be made righteous. Therefore, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved. Shalom!
