Jokers! The smallest region by landmass wants to create two additional states. If Tinubu is serious about returning Nigeria to regions, this is the right time to do it. South East doesn't need any more state. The Anioma State can be created out of Delta and added to the 5 states of the South East, thereby making it six states.

Let them to continue to deceive themselves. They should read the process for creation of states in the constitution to realize the National Assembly is just playing to the gallery and patronizing the SE.

During the elections I mentioned a phenomenon which in yoruba is called “arodan”. Deliberately or allowing a foolish or mischievous person or a stubborn child on a task to keep them busy and occupied knowing the task can never be accomplished. In boarding house a senior will send you to collect a nonexistent book from another senior, when you get to the senior he sends you to another and so on. Sometime the supposed author of the fake book can even have a subtle but deliberately insulting name, causing you to collects slaps along the way before being sent to another senior who supposedly is the one with the book. They all know the book doesn’t exist, it’s a question of how soon you figure it out. Politically it is amazing how the SE are unable to figure out the basics of politics implying more fools errands and slaps await.

No state will be created anywhere!

The process for creation of states is clearly spelt out in the constitution, it has not been followed, please read it and be guided. Even if by chance the motions scale all the readings and is adopted it will be challenged successfully by those opposed to it because the process clearly laid out in the constitution was not followed. This is arodan in action. Act with your brains not emotions.

Intel has it, a new country may emerge. All these meetings by obj and SE governors are last minute efforts to protect the original entity for their pockets and for their paymasters across the Atlantic.

Where is the bunch of bench wormers from the northern part of the country. Shame on you for keeping quiet, despite having the largest population and landmass I don't think there is any region worthy to have additional state than your region but you keep quiet but remember that you're doing that at the peril of your own region. Noisemakers are trying to develop their region by all means possible.

He actually did just like I did also, and it is nonsensical to create more states in the old Eastern Region which now has 11 states while the old Western Region still has 6 states and is not complaining

Wasted Efforts, just to be relevant for year 2027 elections.
These National Assembly doing these and their footsoldiers knows too well that it's exercise in Futility.
- Have they forgotten that those who created the 1979 Constitution put a Lacuna in it?
- that any state created must pass the test of 2/3 of the 36- States?
- that No States Must Object to the States being Created?
•Instead of these Legislatures to work on :
- Job Employments for the 30% Unemployed Youths,
-Regular - 24/7 Constant Lights,
-Economic Developments,
-Food Production and Exports of ALL Foods - to earn FOREX,rather they were just on Cruising with Nigerian People and gaulibles on the Social Media.
If it has been easy to Create the States, as they wants us to believed, then what has been holding the Past Civilians govt from do so?
Terrible and Shameful!

Who are those leader in that is pushing for this new state in the south east? Is it a way to compensate them for not going for the Biafra country of their choice or just playing with the region metality?

This is a obviously a child's play dream now

I can see that there is something fundamentally wrong with these politicians

36 states are not working as they should, Govt are complaining about paying a minimum wage of ₦62k and can't even pay ₦30k and you want to add two more states

NASS are Scammers

Nigeria is built on faulty foundation.
We want freedom.
How can you create another state from Imo state that's the 3rd smallest state in Nigeria? Of course after fooling the East then you will start creating more states in the core North or elsewhere and problem remains the same.

The most important thing for us at the end of this age is FREEDOM.
The world is becoming more global.

Release Nnamdi Kanu now!

In another development, youths in Aniocha and Oshimili in Delta state protest the exclusion of their area into the South East Development Comission Bill.

Very good. It will keep Nigerians distracted from the ineptitude of the legislators

Nigeria has no business with 36 states, the fiscal burden on the federation is too much. We should not have more than ten states.
