She should stayed back in Nigeria. All courses are not equal regarding relocation. Anything non-STEM has to be backed with quality work experience, a globally recognised certification or degree from an elite university.

again you don’t know what you are talking about. Canadian experience helps but people with non Canadian experience still get jobs in those specific careers. Someone close to me with experience from a Nigerian bank got a job recently in a Canadian bank. Same job role, no certification no Canadian experience. But this person applied for over 50 roles to land one offer.

For example, there was a guy on this nairaland who was killed some years ago in the United States by street gangs that robbed him of his laptop etc. The guy used to denigrate Nigeria the way common to you people, but it was in his realized dream paradise that he got killed. The bad land he came from hasn't killed him and perhaps he hadn't been robbed before, but he was slain in the same place he thought he had security.

Life is deep and ain't all about the comfort you dream of, if it's about that, a place like Australia won't be among top list of countries with people suffering from mental disorders.

The west has better infrastructures more than African countries, agreed, that doesn't mean we have the worst of life. We ain't in the dark ages either and there are other aspects of life that we are better than them which keeps us going.

There are jobs in Canada, far more than in many other nations.

Just come in legally as a Permanent Resident (P.R).

Key point is to make sure to research that your skills are in demand over there.

It is easier to get a Job as a resident of Canada than from outside Canada... And the economy is not anywhere as bad as some of you paint it.

Many of the people that complain a lot are people who didn't enter countries like Canada, Australia, etc, as legal Permanent Residents... Typical are the ones that come in as refugees.


I understand that many of you Nigerians based abroad hate to see your fellow countrymen joining you there, but don't lie anyhow and paint too many unnecessary negative pictures.

It's childish and annoying.

Not offering him the job, and saying there's no jobs at all are 2 different things. Student are restricted to work an X amount of hours per week. Citizens and pernament residents have no restrictions at all. Nobody would hire a student over a Citizen or pernament resident.

He’s right! U.K is no longer migrant-friendly for Africans. Majority of people who have never lived in the U.K or most western nations for that matter think these types of videos were made to discourage others from relocating to the U.K when in fact they’re actually spitting facts as harsh as it may seem/sound!

Majority who ignore these video warnings eventually regret relocation and find themselves stuck after relocation as it becomes difficult to raise enough capital to go back home and start afresh. There are 3 people I personally know in this situation who wish they had heed previous warnings but unfortunately can’t go back to Nigeria! They are stuck between a rock and a hard place!

Jobs are hard to come by even with good qualifications; taxes can be as high as 50% depending on your line of work; rent or mortgage is a killer; the NHS is on the verge of collapse; cost of utilities are higher than normal; and the weather is never stable.

While one may get some relief in being in a society where electricity is constant; the overall economy of the U.K is dwindling. Citizens are getting taxed to death at every turn so most people only survive on a third of their income making it extremely hard to save for rainy days.

This advice is genuine but every man/woman will have to decide if relocation or staying put in Nigeria is better!
