Anioma Set to Become 6th South East State Senator Ned Nwoko's Aide-Godwin Obire.

In a recent announcement by Olorogun Godwin Obire, the senior aide on legislative and political matters to Senator Ned Nwoko, it has been reiterated that Anioma is set to become the 6th Southeast state. This statement was made during Senator Ned Nwoko's Delta North constituency empowerment program.

Obire highlighted that Anioma, with its numerous local government areas, is the most eligible candidate for statehood in the Southeast region. He emphasized that Senator Ned Nwoko is determined to see this through and bring the creation of Anioma State to reality. The bill for the establishment of Anioma State has already passed the first reading in the Senate.

"What we are pushing for is very possible and realistic," Obire stated. "It is clear that every zone in Nigeria, except for the Southeast, has six states. The Northwest has seven states, while the Southeast is still stuck at five states. It is only fair that we, the Anioma people, deserve another state, and it should come from Delta state."

Obire went on to highlight some key reasons why Anioma is well-suited for statehood. Firstly, Anioma consists of nine local governments, which is more than some existing states in the country. He also pointed out that Anioma is an oil-producing area, making it resource-rich. In terms of population, Anioma is also qualified to become a state.

With the creation of Anioma State, Obire noted that the Anioma people will benefit greatly. This includes having three senators, nine House of Representatives members, and various other political office holders. He called on all Igbo people, especially those with ancestral ties to Anioma, to support Senator Ned Nwoko in achieving this milestone.

"All Anioma people should unite and support Senator Ned Nwoko in his fight for Anioma statehood. The advantages and opportunities that will come with it cannot be understated," Obire explained. "It is long overdue, and we commend those who have shown their support for this motion."

Overall, the establishment of Anioma State would not only address the imbalance in the number of states in the Southeast but also bring significant benefits and opportunities to the Anioma people. Olorogun Godwin Obire's enthusiastic endorsement of Senator Ned Nwoko's efforts underscores the seriousness and determination behind this cause.
