lexy2014: I’m sure they will fix it but it will gulp more money than the Idiroko road. Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta axis need proper work with state of the art drainage system, so I wouldn’t want it shabbily done with patched works. Also, some houses near the road that might hamper its development might have to go, and you want them notified in advance and duly compensated. President Tinubu will fix the Lagos-Ota-Abeokuta axis before the election to show former President Obasanjo how it’s done. lol. Don’t worry. 1 Like |

Paraman: Omo! SMH... There's no sense in this, I quite understand that after Canaanland towards Atan to idiroko border needs expansion. Why is the Federal Government ignoring the Abeokuta - Oshodi expressway that's in deplorable state? Pls make this make sense because I don't get it! |

RhinoChest: you didnt answer the question I asked. what is the wisdom in not fixing the bad Lagos-Sango Ota-Abeokuta expressway and going to expand idiroko road that is still motorable? |
Re: FG Begins Expansion Of Ota-Idiroko Highway by Doris4ever(m): 5:16pm On Jul 04 |
FreeStuffsNG: The road been expanded is Idiroko road leading to Canaanland winners chapel. It's a different road entirely from Lagos Abeokuta Expressway. |
Re: FG Begins Expansion Of Ota-Idiroko Highway by heysquare(m): 5:17pm On Jul 04 |
lexy2014:Ota-Idiroko road is quietly different from Lagos Abeokuta express. The one they want to expand is Ota-Idiroko road and it's awarded thru tax credit |

INTEGRITYA1: Federal Govt - should as a matter of Urgency and MUST get the abandoned Lagos- Abeokuta Express Roads Constructed and be functional, for it has been abandoned since ages now. We wander why OBJ could not do any Infrastructures in his South-West,due to politics - as they refused to vote his PDP then . But see life now! 1 Like |

lexy2014: People make the assertion that Obasanjo abandon that road ignorantly, I don't blame them, most Nigerians are mentally lazy to independently verify information. What was the state of the road before OBJ, and what was it after he left? As of 2001, dualization of that road that from Ile zik terminates at Sango Ota with wide median in the middle of the road from Abule Egba to sango. from Sango to Abeokuta was a single lane. OBJ admin completed the dualization from Sango Ota to Abeokuta. After which he commence expansion of the existing dual carriage. In 2002 they started with the Airport interchange - Ikeja along - Ile zik axis. By 2005, when the main contract for the dualization of Ota - Abeokuta was completed, an addendum was added for the expansion of the road from Ile zik to Sango ota, with an overhead bridge. |

heysquare: where in my comment that you responded to did you see anything suggesting that Idiroko road and Lagos/Abeokuta are the same? pls read again and try to understand. was it not obasanjo that reconstructed the road in a bid to add a flyover? how did obasanjo abandon what he built? meanwhile The PUNCH reports that the National Association of Ogun State Students on Monday appealed to the Federal Government to take urgent steps towards reconstructing the completely collapsed Lagos-Sango Ota-Abeokuta expressway. the road is presently in a state of disrepair but the report says tinubu is expanding idiroko road and the major road that leads to idiroko road is bad. what is the wisdom in that? |

gasparpisciotta: Yes sir, I strongly believed him. The strategy underground is too sophisticated for prosperity. Unfortunately the process will never be in the public until it gets to advanced stage and comes out first as a rumor then next implementation. This is to avoid unnecessary politics and ethnicity. Yes some people will not like it but that is it. Once he finishes with the Local government autonomy, he will pump Money massively to the Local government with targets of projects to be implemented because Asiwaju believes in grassroot/ polling units development. He created the structure in APC from federal level to Polling Unit level and he was the National Leader of the structure in APC ( the position he will return to after 8 years by Gods grace). Then, It will be operation check you chairman performances. There will be heavy competition for good records amongst the 774 chairmen( so as to proceed to house or national assembly) Then 1960 constitution will be closer to implementation. Check Lagos format of 1999 till date in strategic implementation of progressive master plan. LG/LCDA/CDA was created by Tinubu to getting dividends to the people up to the polling units level. Reasons the guy will continue to win elections.Just watch!. But why are other parties not having a good strategy like Asiwaju?. Akpabio has seen the templates reason he was the Senate president and Abass as speaker. Asiwaju na master jare!! 1 Like |
