dre11: This is an understatement. Many workers -more than 80 percent of them spend over 90% of their salaries or wages on feeding. Some even borrow to augment. It's a sorry situation that needs drastic intervention. 1 Like 1 Share |

Benjamin4388:My brother na hunger go waya anyone that goes into cocoa farming because it takes minimum of 3 years and maximum of 5 years for maturity. Not everyone can go into cocoa farming, especially if you're not the owner of the land, hence, you farm for the owner as cocoa takes a long years to die. The name na baba no go die afi to ba da rugbo. |

We spend 100% and not 65%, we even now borrow money to even cope well, and when the money comes, we settle the bills first and manage the rest and still borrow additional money. |

Benjamin4388:In which location will you get land at #200 - #400k? Price of land is location dependent. If you don't have full control of land, it is not advisable to farm cocoa at all. There are many farm produce that brings great returns and not only Cocoa. Rice, soybeans, guinea corn, maize cassava are at high demand now and very cost. 1 Like |
