Meet Chika Ofili – a 12-year-old Nigerian 🇳🇬 boy who discovered a new mathematics formula

He discovered that if you take the last digit of any whole number, multiply it by 5 and then add this to the remaining part of the number, you will get a new number. If this new number is divisible by 7, then the original number is divisible by 7.

This extraordinary achievement has earned him the TruLittle Hero Award.

The TruLittle Hero Award recognises, celebrates and rewards outstanding achievements of remarkable children and young people under the age of 17. Nomination is by the public and the winners are from various areas of skills and talents.

This is a remarkable feat. Chika is an inspiration to the young folks and an evidence to show that the field of discovery is still green

Imagine how many people have discovered great things in obscurity, thinking it wasn’t worthy of celebration.
