LAWSANAID, an initiative committed to promoting Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) under the Leadership of Onyinye K. Omenugha, has reaffirmed its dedication to providing quality education for law students and aspiring law students with disabilities in Africa. Recently, the organization visited the Special Education Center in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to support and inspire students with disabilities in 2024.

During the visit, LAWSANAID representatives encouraged the students to pursue their dreams and remain resilient despite their challenges. As a tangible expression of their support, the initiative provided new school uniforms and other gift items to some of the students, emphasizing the importance of education and inclusivity.

"We are here to remind these incredible students that their dream of becoming a lawyer or any other endeavour is valid and achievable, regardless of your condition." The assistant team lead at lawsanaid, Mr. Ewhubare Alex, stated. "Our goal is to ensure that every student, regardless of their disabilities, has access to quality education and the support they need to succeed."

The staff and students of the Special Education Center expressed their gratitude for the uniforms, gift items and the motivational visit. The gesture has been seen as a significant boost to the students' morale and an affirmation of their potential.

LAWSANAID continues to work towards creating an inclusive educational environment, aiming to empower students with disabilities across Africa. This visit to Uyo marks another step in their ongoing efforts to provide essential resources and encouragement to those who need it most.
