NATIONAL UNIVERSITIES COMMISSION, NUC DENIES UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT ACCREDITATION ON TWO COURSES.

The University of Port Harcourt has confirmed that the National University Commission, N.U.C. has denied UNIPORT accreditation for two courses in the 2024/2025 Under-graduate Admission Exercise.

In an internal memorandum, the Registrar, Doctor GLORIA CHINDAH notes that the two courses were Health Education and Human Kinetics.

Doctor CHINDAH also notes that the Denial of Accreditation followed a 2023 Comprehensive Accreditation Exercise conducted by the N.U.C.

CHINDAH advised prospective candidates who initially chose the affected programmes to either do a change of University or change to alternative programmes because there would be no admission into the two courses in the 2024/2025 admission exercise.
