The problem i have with most Nigerians is that they believe in the "national grid collapse" hoax. Nigeria exports electricity to some countries and when there's a fault on those lines they fake national grid collapse and divert our lines to feed those nations. I actually don't know the work of journalists of this Nigerian-generation. CNN would physically go to verify the grid that actually collapsed show it to Nigerians. It will also be impossible to fix a fallen grid in a few hours.

Nice theory. Any evidence?

Everytime grid collapse. Ain't it time these useless grid is unbundled and states and private individuals allowed to generate power? We can't continue like this.

Please dear Daddy and Mommy, forgive me for bringing this here. am doing this because av run out of options and I don't have any other choice. My name is kelly, I gave birth to my boy Ayomide 2 years ago and since then it has been a rollercoaster of one event to another. My fiance abandoned us and I move in back with my parents taking care of my son all alone without any assistance even though he was always falling very sick all the time. I notice that he always feels discomfort when his trying to breath so I looked for money to take my son to the hospital. He was diagnosed with congenital heart defect, a hole in his heart, as the cause of his breathing problems. I've cried my eyes out but if only crying can solve problem. I can't stand to see my child in pain.

I've gone almost everywhere I can possibly go but no hope except for hospital. Doctors say that he will need to undergo surgery at UCH for N4.5million and my family with the help of some very kind hearted people have been able to raise part of N3 million. We have sold off almost everything valuable to us but it's not yet enough, that why I am appealing to well meaning Nigerians, if you're touched to save my son's life, please find it in your kind heart to extend a hand of help to him. Nothing is too small in the sight of God. Am calling kind hearted people, please help save my boys life. Please am also calling upon any NGO that can accept my sons condition please. May God almighty bless you immensely and wipe away sorrow from your eye. Amen.

I think Nigerians should protest for better electricity and working refineries instead of minimum wages. Imagine if Nigeria, blessed with the 10th largest gas reserves and large hydroelectric potential, could easily generate 50,000 MW and deliver electricity and cheap hydrocarbons to its local industries, creating millions of jobs and competing for Nigerian labour.

Unending trend.

APC government met 4.8mw of electricity generation in 2015. Nine years after APC government, there is no increase in the number of megawatts of electricity generation in Nigeria
Those people still supporting APC government, are they not enemies of humanity in Nigeria?

Oga, when they say national grid collapse it does not mean the physical structure breakdown, national grid Collapse is usually as result of fluctuations in the transmission frequency which is caused by either over load or under load

States should generate their own power demands. Let the national grid perish. Those who want to sink should sink alone without pulling serious states alongside. Unbundle this white elephant country so each federating unit can function as it desires. angry

This is exactly the reason why, when I hear fools say that power has improved, I always ask them to explain how? Because, if our power generation hasn't improved, barely insignificant MW have been added, how can anyone say that power has improved?

Is it not commonsensical that there's always some form of perceived improvement every raining season, as a result of dams being filled up.
