Colleagues, friends, family, and associates of former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dr. Vincent Enyeama MON, were in Ika on Friday, June 5, 2024, to witness the funeral service of the ex-goalie's father, Coach Phillip Robin Enyeama, who died at the age of 92.

The funeral service was held at St. Patrick's Parish, Urua Inyang, Ika Local Government Area, and was attended by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, ably represented by his Deputy, Senator Akon Eyakenyi.

Former Super Eagles players like Emmanuel Emenike, Elderson Echiejile, and top government functionaries were in attendance.

Earlier, a novelty football match was organized in the deceased's honor, between ex-Akwa United/Ibom Stars players and Consolidated All Stars.

Ex-Akwa United/Ibom Stars players thrashed their opponents two goals to nil.
