IGBO-YORUBA CEASEFIRE PLAN

Two great tribes that were close to each other in the 1990s and early 2000s, have suddenly become sworn enemies like the Hutus and Tutsis of Rwanda.

The hatred started when both tribes competed for the presidency of Nigeria in 2023. The Igbos felt that the Yorubas should have supported them since the Yorubas had occupied the position before (Obasanjo).

But the Yorubas remembered the enjoyment of the position, and decided to enjoy more. So they went into a partnership with the Hausa-Fulani people. The rest is history and the friendship between the Yorubas and the Igbos is now in tatters.

The ceasefire and reconciliation plan is for the Yorubas to promise to vote en masse for Peter Obi in 2031 if the Igbos support Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. The Yorubas are also expected to explain to the Hausa-Fulanis why they (the Northerners) are to wait until 2039 for their own slot.

The Northerners should be reminded that they had earlier taken the Igbo slot in 1999 (Ekwueme) and gave it to Obasanjo as a compensation to the Yorubas for Abiola.

If the ceasefire is agreed upon, Peter Obi can even start working with Tinubu government to put some of his ideas into action especially in the area of reducing the current hardship in Nigeria.

And there will be no more tribal war on nairaland.

You must be kidding.

Yoruba's no dey attack anybody. That's on record.

Just because we don't attack others don't mean we can't defend ourselves if we are being attacked. It's becoming annoying for some people to be attacking the whole tribe just because of politics, when people from the same region voted for almost all the candidates in the last election.

If we decided to attack, it would be so brutal as the defending alone is decimation.

It's high time for Igbos and Yorubas to put their differences aside and unite under the leadership of Tinubu and Obi. After years of PDP misgovernance, it's time for a fresh start with competent leaders who will prioritize the needs of the people over their personal interests. Let's leave behind the

We have a favour to return to the North that voted for President Tinubu.. after 8 years of PBAT, power is going back to the North.

Shey una think say una get sense pass, ehnn let SE alone continue giving their candidates like Obi 98% of votes as if it's President of biafra republic that is being contested.

For the records, Yorubas don't owe Igbos anything.
Igbos voted against M.K.O Abiola and Olu Falae who are both true Yoruba sons, instead supported OBJ due to his questionable origin and the fact that he was in PDP, the party Igbos have consistently supported for over 2 decades now until Obi and EluuP happened.
