OMG!

A lot of poorly built structures all over the place.

This seems to affect more of commercial and rental properties.

tinubu Government are sleeping
this building was not construction during the government of Tinubu. If the Ministry Of The Federal Capital Territory starts testing buildings and pulling down those found to be substandard, the same you will be among those that will condemn the action.

Dangote needs to be invited by the House of Reps.

This is no longer about builders but cement manufacturers in Nigeria need to be grilled and cautioned.

The produce substandard cement and still sell it at exorbitant price to struggling Nigerians yet government and SON does nothing to checkmate them

You dare question government's firstborn son? Rightly as you said, I have observed in recent times that cement has fallen sharply in quality. But we live in a country where human life means next to nothing. Cement quality is at its worst level in ages. Nigerians don't know where they are heading. Na go this country dey so. sad

Building regulations should be strictly enforced.

Officials bribed to approve collapsed buildings should be investigated and sanctioned heavily undecided

Wetin concern dangote for this one?

Is it not the same dangote, lafarge and bua cement that is used for capital projects by all major construction companies throughout Nigeria?

how many of them have collapsed or how many of these companies have complained of the cement not reaching recommended standard?

Buildings have already started collapsing in Abuja of yesterday. When did the FCT become a federal capital that houses built yesterday are already collapsing?

The government needs to enforce building standards and regulations to end this once and for all. Apart from corruption, what have we gotten right in this country?

Who is going to be implementing the govt building policies is it not corrupt officials who takes bribes?

sometimes it's the people that try to get more blocks instead of the required amounts per bag of cement. Also, they build stories on top of foundation of bungalow..Nigerian builders and landlords are not sincere especially if they won't live there..All they think of is profits rather than life.

Houses should be regulated.

If not people wil be dying like chicken. It's not a must to build storey building. Government must act now to weed out useless contractors and allow only competent companies be in charge

For your mind you don comment abi..
So cement is the only building material used in construction abi..
What evidence do you have to prove that cement is substandard? It is better to keep quiet at times instead of displaying crass ignorance

Are you sure you people are not buying rebag products in the name of dangote cement

And its the same dangote that's supplying those Julius Berger and co cement.

What happened to materials test to meet standard specifications? Soundness test, fine test, slum test and co ? Do we carry out those tests to know the conditions of our cement?

Do we use the right reinforcement bars, cement/sand/aggregate mixture and the right personnel to carry out our building projects?

Until we're able to tick all boxes before pointing fingers at dangote otherwise its our human negligence.

Why are you indicting Dangote and defaming him.
If you are picked up now, your people will start begging while you languish in detention. Do you have any evidence to back up your statement that Dangote manufactures substandard cement?

franchasofficia:
Dangote owns a major cement manufacturing company in Nigeria, hope you know?

Substandard soil test and materials causing building collapses from west, east and north....

You can postpone your building projects till when price of materials goes down if you're not capable enough now.

It's better to be safe than sorry
