The United Kingdom went through 14 years of Tories' austerity program that turned that once great and rich country into a poor and despairing country, and their ill-advised BREXIT was the coup de grais. I am afraid to say the USA is going on the same path the conservatives in this country are hell-bent on the issue of immigration that they willing to burn down the whole structure of the greatest experiment ever invented by mankind "A Government of the people by the people elected by the people" which is democracy itself. In both countries, the fear of the unknown and loss of political power is driving the craziness, but if I put myself in their position, I can see where they are all coming from. It is not easy to give up power. To bring it closer to an average Nigerian the Yoruba people in Lagos State don't all of a sudden hate the Igbo, but when they noticed the emergence of the Igbo political power around Lagos State they started their reactionary process to protect their political power at all cost.
