Rivers People Gave Late Chief Azubuike Nmerukini A Befitting Funeral

- FCT Minister Minister - Nyesom Wike, Bro. Felix Obuaj, Sir Allwell Ihunda, among the top dignitaries who attended the funeral.

The members of the Orusa, Oro-Obaziolu family of Nkpolu Oroworukwo in Rebisi kingdom, Port Harcourt, and the entire people of Rivers State gave Late Chief (Hon) Azubuike Nmerukini JP KSC a befitting burial.

The Opahia Obanu Ohna 1 of Rebisi died at 72 years old on 11th June 2024.
The funeral arrangement was a four-day event which culminated on Saturday with the funeral proper.

The funeral service was held at St. Thomas Anglican Church, Diobu, and was laid to rest in his hometown at Obiazulu Street, Nkpolu Oroworukwo community, Diobu, Port Harcourt.

Interment follows at EUI Event Center, Port Harcourt, and Obaziolu concurrently.

The funeral was well attended by top dignitaries in Nigeria including the FCT Minister, Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike.

Late Chief Azubuike Nmerukini JP KSC was the former Mayor of Port Harcourt.
