Baby Jesus was protected by Egypt when Herod was trying to kill him! God bless Egypt for providing refuge for the Messiah and His human parents!

Matthew 2
13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
14 When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, 15 and was there until the death of Herod…

Many Christians up till now view Egypt with disdain because of the enslavement and exodus of Israelites during the Moses’ era!
In fact, a popular prayer point in churches is ‘The Egyptians you see now , you will see them no more’.

Egypt provided Refuge for Abraham, Joseph,Jacob and his sons during times of famine . Most importantly, Egypt provided Refuge for our Lord Jesus Christ as a baby and did not sell him out to Herod!

Christians should give Egypt her deserved flowers and stop despising her!

Herod did not look for Jesus in Egypt .
