It's frequently used on a daily bases down here at ibeno l.g.a ,terminal Akwa ibom state .

I used it till last year when electricity became costlier than gas. It's called induction cooker but this one is the lower quality.

We used it as wayback as 2000...then I ran out of kerosene at Hall 3 one day while cooking my pot of beans,suddenly nepa brought light,it was at 9pm,I plugged the wires wrongly and blew up the utility.iforgot the pot and plate.abandoned..100 level days of suffering.chai. whr mtn 100card would last u at least 3days before final sapa

Back then in OAU Awolowo Hall Blk 1 to be precise I cannot count how many times I have to reconnect the string 😅 and is as hot as transformer grin

Honestly it served me well expecially for cooking beans sha sha😋

This hotplate was a life saver that year in hall 4.
Porter no dey use eye see this tin for ur room. Hall 4 brethren, hide ur hotplate, porters are coming. Na watin u go dey hear and everybody go dey rush to hide their hotplate.

The day this thing shock me for school na that day I realise say gas no cost like I think say e cost.

I don dey use am, repair am by myself. I was so confident say nothing dey happen, till it happened.

This saved me a lot of times in uni that year. For those of us whose hostel rooms were closed to the lecture halls we could put our beans on the hotplate and go for lectures, and be coming to check it intermittently
