Former American footballer Alexi Lalas criticized the organizers of the 2024 Copa America final for Shakira’s music concert. Shakira was scheduled to entertain fans during halftime of the final game between Argentina and Colombia at Hard Rock Stadium, Florida. Lalas said the Colombian singer didn’t receive the necessary support for a successful performance. On his State of the Union podcast, Lalas said, “I have nothing against Shakira; she seems to be a big star. The performance wasn’t historic or memorable.
