Soludo shuns striking Judiciary workers, says they'll resume when they're tired

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has refused to address the ongoing indefinite strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) in the state.

A source told our correspondent that the governor had said when the workers would be tired they would call off the strike.

The strike, which began on Monday, has paralyzed activities in all courts across the state, including Awka, Nnewi, Onitsha, and Ekwulobia.

The union's 21-day ultimatum, which expired last Thursday, was ignored by the governor, prompting the strike.

According to the union's circular, signed by Assistant Secretary Nwezi Ugochukwu, the strike was necessary due to the governor's inaction.

A visit to the state judiciary complex in Awka revealed a deserted and locked premises, with no signs of workers present.

The strike notice was circulated to all directors, deputy directors, assistant chief registrars, registrars in charge, and staff of the Anambra State Judiciary.

The strike's impact on the state's justice system remains uncertain, as the governor's silence continues.

Soludo is just a fastidious personality. He doesnt come as your regular, everyday politician who would bat an eyelid at the striking union.

I believe he'll eventually come around and step down from his hubris to negotiate with the union.

President Tinubu with instruct Ifeanyi Uba to wait to succeed Soludo in 4 years, but as we all know, nothing is guaranteed in politics.

Tinubu will not be President people, na them fool Nairaland pass.

The crop of politicians we have in this country seriously loose along as they wish. How will a custodian of the welfare of his state citizens utter such gibberish? Should the Press Secretary and his media team not be questioned on why their Excellency was not properly guided to say such obscenity to the people?

This further suffices the argument that most educated Nigeria politicians are a square peg in a round hole due to their lack of pedigree in political science. I am of the opinion that having at least a diploma in political science or Law should be a perquisite for anyone contesting for elective position in the country.
