The kano emirate that was an emirate of admiration has now become a thing of mockery

He didn't for see the outcome of their initial plan of bringing Sanusi and cancelling the now reinstated Emirates. He didn't know there was going to be a federal might behind Ado Bayero. He did all he could and it's obvious now he's helpless. I strongly believe this is one of the conditions given to him. For me, if you don't like Bayero, remove him without reverting to thr old that you are now going back and forth. We wait to see if Ado Bayero will now be left in the cold.

All what he is doing is just to save face. It has rubbed oil on himself over and over again.
He can't leave Ado Bayero in the cold. There was actually no need to classifying emirs into second class and all the rest. They all know their places. I just pity SLS in all of this. It just shows how unintelligent men who were thought intelligent are.

The policy thrust of the Kano State Government is clear and commendable:Kano, like Ibadan has grown too big for a single traditional ruler to preside over! The Emir of Kano will become as influential as the KNSG and that should be discouraged.
Ibadan will always have one traditional ruler

Governance is not easy, you can only imagine the type of pressure that the governor is getting from external and powerful forces for him to revert back to the old Balkanized Setting.
They are second class, answerable to Emir of Kano

Imho, SLS is worth more than an ordinary Emir. How can he seat in the palace when Nigeria needs his brain to come out of this economic quagmire our bad leaders pushed us into? The palace is too small for him. Aso rock is his place.

Abba Yusuf is arguably the most incompetent governor in Nigeria today. To be honest, that weakling has no business being a governor. Kwakwanso and Sanusi are just pushing him around. He’s a disgrace to the office he’s holding.

The country seems to be like a theater. Our politicians are the cast and the common men, the spectators on whose wealth and sweat it was built. The spectators pay to watch the play but do not have power of say, they do not write the story but they could watch and enjoy the play, laughing at the course of it or just be indifferent about it. The cast write a story to suit their explanations, suit other cast and to protect their enterprises in the theater. grin
You as on point bro. You said it all

Just imagine if all these were happening in the southeast, a certain people from a certain region in Nigeria would have been insulting the entire Igbos, you will hear and see words like:

They can't even rule themselves and they want to rule Nigeria or an .... man is an ..... man's worst enemy, they hate themselves, now it is happening in the north, they are all quite...

Nobody cares about what's happening in South east. The reason is that only ibos live there

Aside that, they don't even have any respectable monarch there.

Ganduje created a serious mess and unending feud in the Kano royal linage.

Politics of bitterness always breeds everlasting enemity.

One will think SLS is too sophisticated for this emir ship tussle, but that was mine own thinking .... power is what everyone crave for.
Maybe SLS is planning to contest as vice president or office of the president but wants to demonstrate his influence in Kano, and use that as leverage.

And any news that comes from there is usually the longest on Nairaland...

While I can show you threads from the north that hit front page that is yet to still hit 2nd page even after a week, I mean up to case of kidnapping, you can deceive yourself it is allowed...

The loser here is Ado Bayero. But can we determine if the decision cannot be reversed in the future? No.

Notice that it was all high powered politics. Sanusi appeared too hard to control to the same people that he helped to power. Ganduje used his executive power to dethrone him. Now that was not the first time when first class kings would be dethroned in the north. Sanusi took it in his stride. His late friend Herbert Wigwe sent an aircraft to pick him up when Ganduje had determined total humiliation. Ado Bayero ascended the throne and everywhere was calm. Today APC is no longer in power. Another group supported by Sanusi has attained power and restored him.

Ado Bayero has felt humiliated. Now he feels the same pain that Sanusi felt. Fighting back for the throne would do him no good, at least for the next 4 years of NNPP governorship. As long as NNPP remains in power, he will not get there. He tasted the power of the Emir of Kano and wants it. Unfortunately he will keep getting humiliated.

Sanusi is not helpless. He played his game silently and meticulously. All Ado Bayero needs to do is to support another party and see if he can return. The federal courts do not have powers in such matters, so he further wastes his time. He should return to his palace as a second class king for now and remain there. He is the helpless one presently.

You can see from the governor that he was frustrated by Ganduje too. Do not forget that they were opponents in 2009. He was leading when APC brought their wayo at the second ballot. He became the governor and pulled down all Ganduje’s structures. Ado Bayero is a victim of Kano politics, just like Sanusi. They are victims of the political forces that they support. Ganduje balkanised the throne out of anger and this Kano governor has tried to restore it to its original form. Recreating second class Kings is just to make them all feel happy and allow peace to reign. The governor listened to wise counsel and this is the result.

You all please advise Bayero to return to his previous location. Remind him that he who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day.

So dethroning an emir is competence but installing a new one is confusion?

You sound like a broken record.
Has SLS answered the corruption allegations levied against him by the Ganduje government
We all know what happened in 2014. Ado Bayero was the kingmakers choice.
SLS is just Kwankwaso's Emir.
It won't last for long.
Look at Abba Yusuf acting like a mad man
Taking actions without thinking them out
Do you think that after some years of enjoying independence and equality, these Emirates will settle down for a second class status?
The confusion is just starting and Abba Yusuf might lose 2027

Bayero was not eligible to be emir. His father already was emir. The governor has blocked his mischief by sharing to new families that will fight the deposed emirs for him.

This is all silly. Kano has bigger issues

The Governor started badly with a mind of vendetta, destroying structures and houses here and there. He came in with a destructive mind, and this might follow him till the end of his tenure. He is already losing popularity and goodwill together with the Kwankwasiya Movement

Since he came in he has virtually achieved nothing. Chaos all through.
