Another 200 Kenyan police officers have arrived in Haiti under a United Nations-backed mission to try to quell rampant gang violence in the troubled Caribbean nation.

The new batch that arrived on Tuesday brings the total to 400 Kenyan boots on the ground in the violence-ravaged capital of Port-au-Prince, Haitian sources said.

The Kenyan contingent of what is shaping up to be a multinational mission has run into persistent legal challenges in Nairobi, where embattled President William Ruto is simultaneously trying to calm roiling antigovernment protests at home.

More Kenyans are expected to arrive in the coming weeks and months along with police and soldiers from the Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Benin, Chad and Jamaica for a total of 2,500 personnel.

The deployment was approved by a UN Security Council resolution in October, only to be delayed by a Kenyan court decision in January that ruled it unconstitutional.

The court said Ruto’s administration had no authority to send officers abroad without a prior bilateral agreement.

While the government secured that agreement with Haiti in March, a small opposition party, Thirdway Alliance Kenya, has filed a lawsuit in another attempt to block it.

The United States had been eagerly seeking a country to lead the mission and is supplying funding and logistical support.

President Joe Biden flatly ruled out putting US boots on the ground in Haiti.

Human Rights Watch has raised concerns about the Haiti mission and doubts over its funding, while watchdogs have repeatedly accused Kenyan police of using excessive force and carrying out unlawful killings.

Haiti is truly a failed country, a nation that doesn't have a well equipped military and police to protect and defend itself, corruption has crippled that country.

Kenya should be careful

Wyclef Jean people

Kenyan police shot a lot people in Kenya during the StopTheFinaceBill protest, but watch how they will never shoot any Haiti citizen. A case of killing your own brother and saving another person's life.

This is same case with Nigerian police, you see them shooting and harassing innocent Nigerians, but when they go for peace keeping they will maintain highest level of discipline by not harming anyone in the foreign country

Haiti would have been a better country if only Wyclef Jean was allowed to rule them

So, it has been proven that it not by age that a country is selaid to be developed. Haiti got her independence since 18th century and yet a failed state. All previous leaders are as corrupt as corruption itself. Can you imagine a county close to the USA and it still backward! France failed that country and even USA too. Blacks are just something else.

The recent riot in Kenya don give them experience.

We need their support in Nigeria to protect Southwest from the protest being planned by Obidients.

I just learnt their online prime minister- Simon Ekpa has declared 4 days sit at home from July 30 to August 2nd.

It's all getting clearer now. Protest and destroy Southwest under the guise of protest just like 2020 but declare sit-at-home in Alaigbo to prevent same.

Same old trick but we are wiser now.
.....Mugu, do you see what your brain is giving you? Next is to find yourself in the dust bin.

Haiti discovered oil.

President Moyes was killed by seemingly mexican cartels sponsored by.....? ( Fill in the gaps)

Violence broke out, led by Gen . Barbecue who burned ppl alive. Curiously, guns from the USA was flowing in for his group. He wears a necklace with the star of David ( like Israeli)

- USA brings Kenya to control the situation.

- western oil companies are waiting in the shadows.

Question:- who do you think has been sabotaging Haiti in the background for over 200 yrs? Who stands to gain now?

This is not hatred. All we plead for is peaceful protests from you people and across every state not just Southwest.

We don't want it to be hijacked by Obidients.

Meanwhile, I should be the one saying; Why this hate on us? Why the plan to destroy Southwest by all means?

Why not Kano, Abuja, Portharcourt, Anambra? What is our offence?

You better go face your slave masters and leave igbos alone. Igbos are not your problem, we all know the tribes that have ruled this country and we know how they have successfully ran it aground.
Igbos cant destroy what has never been in their care,so face your fellow destroyers and leave igbos alone before kitipa gi gbagbu gi na ezi nuno gi.
