For the first time ever, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke out about the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump last weekend on Wednesday. She called the attempt a "heinous, horrible, and cowardly act." At a campaign rally in Michigan on Wednesday, Harris stated, "The bottom line is, no one should have to fear for the safety of a loved one because they serve in public office." She continued by saying that as soon as they learned what had transpired, she and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff prayed for Trump and his family.
