David Hundeyin is trending because the journalist was the first to expose FG's fake UAE website, fake visa requirements.

On Monday, the Min. Of Information Mohammed Idris announced that the three years long Dubai visa ban has been lifted by the United Arab Emirates Government, but Nigerians will need a compulsory document verification number which will cost N640k on a the UAE website (documentverificationhub.ae) and applicants need to have a minimum of $10k account balance.

Educated Nigerians started to question the logic behind these measures. Because the conditions seemed like UAE still doesn't want Nigerians (Constructive Ban)

Then, David Hundeyin took it upon himself, dug into the domain ownership and found out that. The website does not belong or is not associated with the UAE government. Official UAE government website has an extension of "gov.ae" . But the one paraded by FG has just ".ae".

Turns out, the website is Canadian operated by one Jean Geoffrion who is into the business of generating revenues for governments.

As expected, seasonal lovers of Nigeria insulted and attacked the journalist.

Until this afternoon when TheCable reached out to UAE's department of economy and tourism to confirm if the DVN is part of the conditions they gave the Nigerian Government..

UAE said they are not aware of anything of such.

And if you want to apply, you'd go through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs office, (GDRFAD) with a personal photo, a passport which must have not less than six months validity. And it cost ₦60-90k depending on the stay. Contrary to FG's claim of ₦640k and $10,000.

So, Nigerians are saying yet again. David Hundeyin has been vindicated.

This is about the third time the Nigerian Government has been put in an awkward position over the Dubai situation.

If there's any truth to this, it's rather unfortunate!
