Olorunfemi also asserted that the Governor has heavily concentrated and invested in agriculture across the State, which he has revitalised all the moribund tractors for distribution to all the local government areas in the State for mechanised farming towards massive food production and boost the State's food security. Meanwhile, the group also scored the Kogi number one man high on various sectors in the State: "Civil Society Coalition for Transparency, CSCT, commends Kogi state Governor Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo for his laudable projects to the people of the State. "The projects that have cut across various sectors in the state economy, road infrastructures that has connected many villages together thereby boosting economic activities in the State. "The developments going on in the education sector is second to none, he has provided infrastructures to the State owed institutions by providing adequate support to the State ministry of Education in human capacity development. "In less than seven months in office Governor Ododo has light-up several villages and communities by providing basic infrastructures such as transformers. "Also, the Governor has prioritized the welfare of civil servants in the State whom he has made paramount in his agenda by prompt payment of salaries, allowances and wages as at when due." The group also noted that he was one of the first Governors across the country to have accepted the recent Supreme Court's judgment on local government autonomy. "We appreciate Governor Ododo for his uncommon leadership charisma, the undiluted transparency he demonstrated in his administration, and being the first Governor in Nigeria to welcome the recent Supreme Court judgment that gave autonomy to local government administration in Nigeria", the group said. The group also pointed out that, "He is a politician who believes in popular participation in politics without intimidation, which we see him demonstrating this by allowing a level playing field for all to thrive irrespective of political affiliations. "He has stated clearly that his administration would not interfere with the forthcoming local government election in the State slated for Saturday the 19th of August 2024. "He has encouraged all qualified sons and daughters of the State to participate and engage in a peaceful and people-oriented development-based campaign to participate in the contest as any one found engaging in any act capable of disrupting the electoral process will find themselves to blame because security in the state is top notch and would not hesitate to arrest and prosecute all perpetrators. "The people of Kogi state have always been law abiding which place the state on a high pedestal in terms of peace in our nation", it added. However, the Coalition reinstated its commitment to promote transparency and accountability at all levels of governance in Nigeria, and expressed support to Governor Ododo's commitment to change the narrative in Kogi State, therefore, it added that, "We will not relent on our efforts in advocating for transparency until Nigeria becomes a better society of our dreams."
