Nigeria is a cabal run state. When Buhari said there was no subsidy paid anywhere people thought he wasn't saying the truth. If the landing cost of fuel today is 1000 going by $1 going for #1600 what was the cost when a dollar was less than #200 when Buhari said that? By mathematical ratio without subsidy fuel should go for #125. But then fuel was being sold for #149 even with claims of subsidy. The more you look at Nigeria the less you see. |

They should up their game that's how we stopped importation of essential foods items and we retrogressed. Omo viable option is that there should be a free market. No room for favoritism |

The FG gave you guys the license but you didn't refine but import crude at cheaper price and sell outrageously to Nigeria. It's only PBAT that has everyone's medicine and he will serve them all. Sanity must return by force, the era of round tripping of FOREX is over. Greedy local farmers will also start their wailing soon bcs massive importation of food will choke & consume them |
Re: Fuel Import: FG Working Against Local Refineries, Operators Cry Out by sakbio(m): 3:37pm On Jul 21 |
The importation needs to continue so that Dangote oil will not be like Dangote cement that is more expensive than imported cement. Nigerians expected Dangote oil should be less expensive than imported oil like Diesel, Nigerians will prefer the cheaper one but rely solely on Dangote is dangerous as there won't be price competition. quote author=adenigga post=131062689] Source: https://punchng.com/Fuel-import-FG-working-against-local-refineries-operators-cry-out[/quote] |

This matter may appear simple to the onlookers the way the media presents it: crude oil is one tool that Nigeria, over the years, has deployed in terms of international diplomacy. It is also at the top on our political economy discussions. Y Because it's one item that is sensitive to national security, development and advancement. 1. It's important to note that in as much as I don't support Dangote's requests to FG to stop importation, local refiners must be supported by govt.and it's agencies. 2. Much of the bilateral and multilateral pacts that Nigeria has entered into have been covenanted or sealed by this crude. Hence, her hands are tied because she can't just revers this deals as easy as we think. 3. We can not rule out the corruption. Most Nigerians are feeding big time on the current position of things in the oil industry and won't want any shift in the status quo. |

We have said it many times ,those refineries will never work except maybe that if Dangote . When atiku said he will sell it and when obj wanted to sell it ,people didn't understand the reason . Those refineries are just an ATM machines for politicians . How can we stop fuel importation when fuel subsidy payment has rise to almost 2 trillion naira monthly! At this stage in Nigeria ,only a mad military government can save nigeria 2 Likes |
