The law abhors a vacuum and as soon as the leadership that suspended Ehie announced their decision to leave the party that brought them to office they lost their seats hence the original and remaining house members were empowered to act and that's how he emerged speaker and in line with the constitution and as affirmed by a supreme court judgement he officially declared their seats vacant. They should withdraw the court cases and go back to the polls if they believe they're popular.
